TRIBUTE TO LT COL HARI SINGH CHAUHAN (RETD) OF 9 & 4 GRENADIERS

      With  deep regret, we inform you about the sad demise of  IC-18057X Lt Col Hari Singh Chauhan (Retd) on 17 May 2024 at his native place Faridabad (Har) in 84 years of age.  He was born on 05 Aug 1940 and commissioned into 9 GRENADIERS (MEWAR) on 30 Jun 1963. He also served 4 GRENADIERS and retired from service on 31 Aug 1991. Lt Gen A Arun, PVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, Col The GRENADIERS and the entire GRENADIERS fraternity convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray to the Almighty to bestow them strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.  We also pray to God to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.   Late Lt Col Hari Singh Chauhan (Retd) is succeeded by his wife – Mrs Vijay Chauhan,   Son –Mr Anil and a Daughter-Mrs Kiran Arora.      In the heart of the Grenadiers Regimental Center, a pivotal three-day orientation program for eight CO designates unfolded from May 20th, 2024. The well structured schedule encompassed a comprehensive dive into regimental intricacies, emphasizing man management and a detailed briefing by the Grenadiers Records and the Grenadiers Association.       From understanding historical legacies to contemporary training methodologies, officers delved deep into the essence of the Grenadier's spirit. Sessions with the Training Battalion provided practical insights, ensuring a well-rounded grasp of operational modalities. GRENADIERS GET TOGETHER AT JL WING, BELGAUM

      A GRENADIERS get together was organised at JL Wing, Belgaum wherein a total str of 49 Grinders including students undergoing PC & Cdo course and instr staff were present. The gathering included students and instr staff of affiliated units too, namely, 2 GUARDS, 24 GUARDS and 9 MECH INF.      A total of 09 instructors, 25 PC Course students and 16 Cdo Course students were present. The instructors motivated the students to keep up with the excellent performance in true regtl spirit.

TRIBUTE TO COL MS JOON, VSM (RETD) OF 3 GRENADIERS

     With deep regret, we inform you about the sad demise of IC-16791 Col MS Joon, VSM (Retd) on 22 May 2024 at his native place Gurgaon (Haryana) in 78 years of age. He was born on 07 Jun 1946 and commissioned into 3 GRENADIERS on 15 Jun 1966. He commanded the same Battalion from 1984 to 1987 and also participated in Indo-Pak War of 1971 (Battle of Basantar). A brave Regimental Solider, he was also conferred with VSM. He retired from his service on 27 Aug 1990.      Lt Gen A Arun, PVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, Col The GRENADIERS and the entire GRENADIER fraternity convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray to the Almighty to bestow them strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude. COR VISITS JAIPUR TERRIERS

Jaipur Terriers is filled with pride and honour as Lt Gen A Arun, PVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, COS South Western Command & Col The GRENADIERS visited the Battalion on 08 May 2024. It was a momentous occasion for the paltan as the unit prepares to mov to the fd area shortly. COR interaction with tps as always was ever motivational, exhilarating and instilled a new josh in the paltan. The paltan conveys best wishes to the COR and ensures him of keeping the Regtl Flag always high. GRINDER GET TOGETHER : NOIDA

     The Grinders of Noida area broke the ice with their first get together on 04 May at Arun Vihar Institute sector 29 Noida. For a beginning, there was a healthy presence of 14, including 6 couples and 2 single officers. COR VISITS UTKRISHT UNNEES

     It is a matter of great pride for UTKRISHT UNNEES to be visited by Lt Gen Arun Ananthnarayan, PVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, COS, South Western Command and Col The GRENADIERS on 01 May 2024.      Interaction with tps was filled with motivation and life enriching anecdotes. TRIUMPHANT THIRD VISITED BY COR

     It was a matter of great honour and pride for TRIUMPHANT THIRD to be graced by the visit of Lt Gen Arun Ananthnarayan, PVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, COS, South Western Comd and Col The Grenadiers to the PVC Paltan on 30th April 24.     The COR had an ingenous Batcheet with the tps of TRIUMPHANT THIRD wherein he spoke his heart out. He paid rich tributes to Bravehearts and Immortals and motivated everyone to learn from our Gallant History.      The COR commended all rks of the Bn for their commitment and tenacity to meet the challenges of dynamic Op role as the Dibrugarh Bn.He exhorted the Paltan to continue with selfless zeal and always keep the “Naam Namak Nishaan” of the Regt as the singular motivation to excel in all spheres.     The COR also felicitated the tps for their exceptional performance by presenting them the COR medallion. The motivating and inspiring visit by COR has rejuvenated all rks of the Bn. VISIT OF FINEST FIFTH BY COR

     It gives us immense pleasure in stating that Lt Gen Arun Ananthnarayan, PVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, COS, South Western Command and Col The GRENADIERS visited the FINEST FIFTH on 01 May 2024, marking a momentous occasion for the Paltan.      The ‘Batcheet with Tps’ was filled with motivational examples of courage and wisdom, with the COR highlighting the commitment and bravery of the troops of the Regt to the task given while emphasising the value of honestly going about one’s duty in the army. As he shared numerous examples of military leadership as well as several insights from his 42 years of experience, he stressed the importance of integrity on the battlefield, highlighting how it is the cornerstone of all things Military.      The Batcheet was both engaging and educational, fostering a lively atmosphere. VISIT OF SUB MAJ (HONY CAPT) YOGENDRA SINGH YADAV, PVC TO 21 GRENADIERS

     It was indeed an honour & privilege for 21 GRENADIERS to host Sub Maj (Hony Capt) Yogendra Singh Yadav, PVC on 02 May 2024, whose courage & valour serves as an inspiration to us all.      The visit proved to be incredibly motivating and uplifting for everyone in the Bn. A special Baatcheet with Tps was organised by the unit where the PVC awardee addressed the gathering. The talk started with the gallantry awardee remembering his stay of 3 months in the unit during DELHI tenure in 2006. The gallantry awardee's presence provided a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our brave men in uniform and the importance of selfless service to our nation.      The visit turned out to be a special one as the nation celebrates the Silver Jubilee of VIJAY DIWAS.
