VIS OF GEN ARUN TO GALLANT EIGHTH


     It was a matter of immense honor and pride for the Gallant Eighth to host Lt Gen A Arun, PVSM, YSM, SM, VSM on June 25-26, 2024, just before his superannuation. Upon arrival, the General was received by the CO and SM.

     The General addressed the troops in a Special Sainik Sammelan, emphasizing the standards of professionalism expected of all officers, JCOs, and other ranks. He urged everyone to work selflessly for the organization, complimented the battalion for their outstanding performance in various courses and competitions, and thanked all for their support throughout his service.

      The General reminded everyone of the responsibility to uphold the Naam, Namak, and Nishaan of the Regiment and awarded medallions to the outstanding achievers of the battalion.

     The Gallant Eighth is indebted to the General for gracing the battalion with his visit during his last days of service and assures continuous strive for excellence to keep the Regiment’s name held high.

Prateek Mehla is a brilliant student who has achieved excellence in academic as well as extracurricular activities since his initial schooling days. He has been recommended from SSB, Jalandhar and will be joining the NDA in the month of Dec 2024.  1. The morning of June 8, 2024, heralded a transformative milestone in the lives of the young Agniveers of Batch 04/24. Following the legacy of three illustrious preceding batches, these recruits graduated from The GRENADIERS Regimental Centre in a spectacular display of precision, discipline, and indomitable spirit during their Passing Out Parade.
