COLONEL THE GRENADIERS VISITS 23 GRENADIERS

1. Colonel The GRENADIERS, Lt Gen Sanjay Mitra, AVSM made his maiden visit to 23rd Bn, The GRENADIERS, on 26 July 2024, at one of the most critical and strategically important location along the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh, the Galwan Valley. This pivotal visit marked a significant moment for the young & renowned unit, as they continue to defend India's sovereignty in one of the most challenging and remote region of the world.

2. Shortly after his arrival, a Special Sainik Samelan was organised, wherein Colonel of the Regiment, Lt Gen Sanjay Mitra, AVSM, lauded the Bn for their Exemplary valour, unwavering dedication and unrelenting pursuit of excellence in not only the field of operations, but beyond their call of duty as well. He emphasized the significance of individual operational responsibility and the integration of Junior leadership into the bn's routine.

3. The col of regiment showered high praise on the unit's stellar performance, hailing their instrumental role in the triumphant success of operation Devil's eye, testament to their unwavering resolve, unrelenting drive and unbridled excellence. The Colonel of the Regiment also underscored the paramount importance of technological adoption and innovation, commending the unit's pioneering efforts in developing cutting-edge solutions like D.R.I.S.H.T.I and K.A.V.A.C.H. 


4. To commemorate the occasion, he presented a prestigious trophy to the battalion, exhorting them to maintain the highest standards in training, administration, and security. In a heartfelt gesture, the unit too presented a memento to the General Officer, symbolizing their deep respect and admiration. The Colonel of the Regiment then joined the troops for an informal tea gathering, where he engaged in personal interactions, boosting their morale and spirits. Sharing his wealth of experience, inspiring stories, and invaluable advice, he once again commended the battalion for their outstanding achievements, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of the brave soldiers. The visit culminated with a group Photograph with the mighty and rugged mountains of the SSN in the backdrop, a mark of the indomitable spirit and resolve of the esteemed Regiment.

 1. The morning of June 8, 2024, heralded a transformative milestone in the lives of the young Agniveers of Batch 04/24. Following the legacy of three illustrious preceding batches, these recruits graduated from The GRENADIERS Regimental Centre in a spectacular display of precision, discipline, and indomitable spirit during their Passing Out Parade.
