INTERACTION OF COLONEL THE GRENADIERS WITH THE NEWLY COMMISSIONED YOUNG OFFRS

1. On 11 Jul 24, Lt Gen Sanjay Mitra, AVSM, Colonel The GRENADIERS interacted on VC with the newly commissioned Young Offrs (YOs) of the Regiment undergoing orientation capsule at The GRENADIERS Regtl Centre. The interaction commenced with, the Commandant providing an overview of the activities conducted during the orientation capsule incl the implementation of the 'Best Practices', followed by a brief introduction by the YOs. Details of YOs is as follows:- 

2. During the interaction with YOs, the COR emphasized on various aspects that play a pivotal role in shaping up of an army officer. He stressed on the significance of regimentation, team spirit and bonhomie among soldiers, highlighting how these qualities contribute to effective teamwork and unit cohesion. The COR also discussed the importance of courses and competitive exams in the career progression of army officers. He also highlighted the importance of continuous learning, professional development, and readiness for leadership roles within and outside the Regiment. 

 3. Overall, the interaction focused on imparting essential values and perspectives necessary for the YOs to excel as officers of the Indian Army.
