HAR GHAR TIRANGA CAMPAIGN & INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS AT THE GRENADIERS REGT CENTRE : 13-16 AUG 24

     The GRENADIERS Regt Centre celebrated ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign’ and 78th Independence Day with full fervour around the course of three days. The entire GRENADIERS family of the Centre including Offrs, Serving soldiers, families and children participated in the event with enthusiasm and exhibited their devotion towards the country.

     In a first of its kind, a unique Tiranga rally on Bouts and Rowing boats was org along the holy Narmada River on 13 Aug 24 touching nearly 15 villages across the bank. Rowing team of The GRENADIERS Regt Centre showcased their skills in a captivating display of coord, speed and patriotism. This unique yatra touched the hearts of the local populace and motivated them to pledge towards the cause of national sovereignty.

     Following the suite, an exhilarating bike rally was also org wherein riders of The GRENADIERS Regt Centre proudly carried the Tiranga and covered the major historic sites of Jabalpur viz Madan Mahal, Balancing rock, Bargi Dam and Gwarighat while connecting with the locals and symbolizing the unity and diversity of India. Apart from the ibid rally, the Centre also hosted Tiranga Bike Rally being org by HQ Madhya Bharat Area at the iconic Jarpal Gate.

     The enthusiasm of the day was further amplified by the participation of students from Army Public School No 1 and Cobra Army Pre-Primary School, whose performances highlighted the shared spirit of patriotism and creativity. Serving Army pers, their families and locals joined together to commemorate this significant milestone of Independent India’s history with a sense of community and national pride.

SERVING SOLDIERS & FAMILIES TAKING ACTIVE PART IN HAR GHAR TIRANGA CAMPAIGN

The day was made further memorable by various honours and awards being recd by the Regiment and the Centre on this momentous occasion. A total of 89 Hony rks were granted which included 09 Hony Capt rks on Active List, 33 Hony Capt rks on retirement, 43 Hony Lt rks on Active List and 04 Hony Lt rks on retirement. Apart from this, 01 CDS CC, 03 COAS CC, 02 VCOAS CC and 34 GOC-in-C, CC were recd by the regt. The same includes two GOC-in-C, Central Comd Commendation Cards awarded to indls serving in The GRENADIERS Regt Centre.

     Brig Lalit Sharma, SC, SM, Comdt, The GRENADIERS RC pipped Hony rks on the shoulders of proud JCOs of the regt. In addn, the day also marked a milestone event in the pgs of Regtl History as instrs of the Regt serving with the RC were honored with Red Shoulder Tabs. The day culminated with Mil Band of the centre giving a memorable and patriotic performance at the event, “Ek Shaam, Shaheedo ke Naam” which was widely appreciated by numerous civ dignitaries.
