FINEST FIFTH SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES TSULU UNIYA ADVENTURE TREK

     FINEST FIFTH operating in pristine Dibang valley successfully flagged in the Tsulu Adventure Trek at the Anini Military Garrison after the trek’s triumphant completion. The first-of-its-kind expedition, started on 10th September from Anini Military Garrison with a strength of 02 officers, 01 JCO, and 13 other ranks, covering over the distance of 180 km in the Tsulu valley, achieved dual objectives of exploring the valley for first time while carrying out adventure trek in the completely unexplored terrain ahead of Tsulu Uniya in just 16 days.      Launched under the Army Adventure Expedition (ARMEX), the Tsulu Adventure Trek not only set a milestone for military operations but also unlocked new avenues for tourism in the mesmerizing Tsulu Uniya (Chuwa Wuya) Valley. It’s matter of great pride  that Hav Deepak of AWWAL EKKIS won Silver Medal in 73rd Inter Services Wrestling Championship 2024 organised at ASI Pune in 77 Kg wt category in Greco Roman style.  On 23 Sep 2024, Maj Gen Rajendra Rai, SM, COS, UB Area, visited Joshila Sixth at Rudraprayag and interacted with the troops. He commended the battalion for their unwavering efforts during the Kedarnath Rescue and Relief Operations in Aug 2024, praising the unit for their dedication and fulfillment of duty.

  Lieutenant General Sanjay Mitra, AVSM, GOC-in-C Stike Corps, Col of the Regiment, The GRENADIERS vis FIGHTING FOURTH on 18 September 2024 at Khanpur Camp, Delhi. The rains could not dampen the spirits of the Battalion as the paltan gave the COR a warm welcome.   ⁠General Mitra heartily congratulated the unit on its well deserved nomination for UN mission to Lebanon. He also motivated them to keep aspiring for higher goals while being the flag bearers of the nation and Regiment on foreign soil. On the 59th death anniversary of the esteemed Late CQMH Abdul Hamid, Param Vir Chakra of 4 GRENADIERS, a poignant wreath laying ceremony took place at his native village of Ghazipur, where a solemn tribute to one of India's most celebrated war heroes was paid by Commandant, GRENADIERS Regiment Centre, who laid wreath on behalf of Lieutenant General Sanjay Mitra, AVSM, Colonel, The GRENADIERS. 2. 12 AUG 1957- 05 SEP 2024 1. With deep regret and sorrow, we inform you about the sad demise of IC–35275M Col Shyam Pradhan (Retd) on 05 Sep 2024 at his native place Pune (Mah) in 67 years of age due to heart problem. He was born on 12 Aug 1957 and commissioned into 11 GRENADIERS on 15 Jun 1978; he also served with 21 GRENADIERS. He retired from his service on 31 Aug 2011. 2.
