CDS VISITS JOSHILA SIXTH
General Anil Chauhan, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) visited the troops at forward area and reviewed the operational preparedness and readiness of the Battalion on Northern Borders. He commended the high standards of professionalism and great morale of tps in Niti Valley and appreciated JOSHILA WARRIORS for flawless operational preparedness.
Chief of Defence Staff and Mrs Anupama Chauhan, President, DWWA visited Niti Village in Niti Valley and commended the villagers for their excellent efforts in reverse migration and unending support to the Indian Army. They also paid a visit to the revered Timersain Mahadev Temple located at an altitude of 11,660 feet in picturesque Niti Valley and commended the efforts of the Battalion in renovating the Temple. At the end, they visited Gamshali Village in Niti Valley, where Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) presented Rock Climbing Equipment to the local youth of these border villages, thereby encouraging adventure sports and skill development in the border areas.
CDS also witnessed a small demonstration of Speed Climbing and Rappelling by local youth at Gamshali Rock Climbing Node. Chief of Defence Staff appreciated the Battalion for fast execution of projects under Op SADBHAVNA in these border villages and motivated the tps to continue our pursuit of excellence in true GRINDER spirit.
