     On 27 August 2024, it was a momentous occasion for the Ex-servicemen of the Regiment hailing from Mathura and nearby areas to interact with the Col of the Grenadiers. In an endeavour to reach out to our veterans, this meeting with the ESM of Mathura region was planned and executed. It was a testimony of the ESM’s commitment and love for the Regiment, that more than 120 ESMs from far flung areas decided to be part of the memorable occasion.       During the informal interaction, the COR assured the veterans that the Regt always recognises their services in the growth of the Regt, and will be standing with them shoulder to shoulder, always forthcoming to help them out. Representatives of Records, The Grenadiers gave an insight about SPARSH and also facilitated in registration of grievances of ESM and resolving the issues.      It is a matter of great pride for the Regiment and the Risalians that Agniveer Sheetal Gulia won Silver Medal in Under 23 Senior National Wrestling Championship 2024 organised at MDU Rohatak , in 97 Kg wt category in Free Style.      This medal is an apt recognition to his hardwork, sincerity, dedication and sportsmanship and has motivated his peers to excel in their respective fields.      Towering Twelfth successfully conducted 133rd edition of Durand Cup 2024 at Kokrajhar (Assam). The unit undertook the mammoth task and accomplished it in the most befitting manner right from planning to its execution.       The trophy flag off was carried out on 14 Jul 2024 in which Smt Nandita Gorlosa, Hon’ble Sports Minister of Assam was the Chief Guest. The opening ceremony on 30 Jul 2024 was witnessed by Shri Lalnghinglova Hmar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Sports and Youth Services Department, Govt of Mizoram, Shri Lotay Tshering, Former PM, Bhutan, Shri Pramod Boro, Hon’ble CEM, Lt Gen R C Tiwari, UYSM, AVSM, SM, GOC- in - C Eastern Comd, Air Marshal SP Dharkar, PVSM, AVSM, AOC-in-C, Eastern Air Comd and various civ and mil dignitaries.       A total of six league matches and one quarter final match was played wef 30 Jul 2024 to 21 Aug 2024.      The GRENADIERS Regt Centre celebrated ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign’ and 78th Independence Day with full fervour around the course of three days. The entire GRENADIERS family of the Centre including Offrs, Serving soldiers, families and children participated in the event with enthusiasm and exhibited their devotion towards the country.      In a first of its kind, a unique Tiranga rally on Bouts and Rowing boats was org along the holy Narmada River on 13 Aug 24 touching nearly 15 villages across the bank. Rowing team of The GRENADIERS Regt Centre showcased their skills in a captivating display of coord, speed and patriotism. This unique yatra touched the hearts of the local populace and motivated them to pledge towards the cause of national sovereignty.        On behalf of Col of the Regt and all rks of the GRENADIERS fraternity, we extend heartfelt congratulations to Master Prateek Mehla, grandon of Ex Sub (Clk) Om Prakash Mehla, son of Sub (Clk) Devendra Singh Mehla of 11 GRENADIERS presently posted with THE GRENADIERS Records who cleared the prestigious National Defence Academy Examination.        Master Prateek Mehla is studying in 12th class at Adarsh Vidya Mandir, Bhiwani. Prateek Mehla is a brilliant student who has achieved excellence in academic as well as extracurricular activities since his initial schooling days. He has been recommended from SSB, Jalandhar and will be joining the NDA in the month of Dec 2024. It is pertinent to bring out that even his grandfather, Ex Sub (Clk) Om Prakash Mehla was also a Grinder who served with 11 GRENADIERS.       Comdt, GRENADIERS RC felicitated the indl by presenting them with a spl memento.  Lt Gen Sanjay Mitra, AVSM, Col The GRENADIERS attended Regimental get together at Leh on 03 Aug 2024. Fwg offrs attended the get together: - Brig Ashish Negi Col Gopal Chundawat Col Dhirendra Col Nitesh Col R S Karakoti Capt Ritika, 14 CESR. Her great grandfather had served in 3 GRENADIERS and was a Ashoka Chakra Class III awardee in 1947.    The General officer shared his experiences of the area and motivated them all to excel in tasks assigned to them, keeping up with the highest traditions of the Regt.

        A GRENADIERS get together was organised at JL Wing, Belgaum wherein a total str of 49 Grinders including students undergoing PC & Cdo course and instr staff were present. The gathering included students and instr staff of affiliated units too, namely, 2 GUARDS, 24 GUARDS and 9 MECH INF.      A total of 08 instructors, 25 PC Course students and 16 Cdo Course students were present. The instructors motivated the students to keep up with the excellent performance in true regtl spirit.
